TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers at our Oregon location. You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and deliver accurate service aligned with company standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, trade school or prior mechanic experience, willingness to learn, and the ability to work unsupervised with flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or mechanic experience preferred.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Develop a repair plan and communicate it to the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and mechanical/electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommend TA services during inspection reviews; ensure safety of customers and employees.
