Job summary

John Deere in Waterloo, IA seeks a Product Verification & Validation Engineer to join the Product Engineering (CA) function. This onsite role focuses on validating new products across programs, coordinating with design teams and suppliers to ensure robust durability testing and testing plan execution.

Ideal candidates have mechanical engineering backgrounds, experience with CAD tools, and strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Experience in product design, development, or related functional area.
• Engineering experience in mechanical components applicable to engines.
• Experience applying engineering principles, theory and practice.
• Experience using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with component, subsystem and/or full application testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supply management, module design teams, factories, and suppliers to validate and verify new products for major programs.
• Develop and execute subassembly and full aftertreatment canning durability verification testing; document results and update program databases.
• Monitor and support field tests; document results, drive test execution, and improve test procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical Engineering
