Job summary

Plug Power seeks a skilled Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, debug, test, and troubleshoot mechanical components for Diesel systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork with manufacturing teams to resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities include installing parts, welding, assembling electro-mechanical systems, and debugging electrical/pneumatic systems. Must read drawings and communicate effectively; HS diploma with 2-5 years’ similar role experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of hands-on mechanical experience in related role.
• Experience with commercial trailers and pony motors is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical parts and sheet metal assemblies.
• Weld aluminum, carbon and stainless steel (MIG/TIG).
• Assemble and troubleshoot 12-volt electro-mechanical systems.
• Debug electrical and pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and manufacturing.
