Job summary

HOLT Group in San Antonio is seeking a PSD Shop Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered heavy equipment. The role supports the Power Systems Division and requires mid-level expertise, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

The technician will read schematics, handle disassembly and reassembly to spec, and mentor peers while maintaining equipment and shop organization. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Maintains clean and safe shop and completes repair documents on time.
