Job summary

Boss Shop in Ohio is hiring an Entry Level Shop Technician to perform entry level mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Essential duties include training program completion, preventative maintenance, tire and electrical work, CSA inspections, and basic trailer and air system repairs. DOT card required; ASE/DOT certifications pursued as needed; weekend and holiday availability assumed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.

Responsibilities

• Completes training programs and evaluations within designated timeframes.
• Performs preventative maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
• Greases trucks and trailers; performs tire repair and related services.
• Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls.
• Performs basic electrical diagnosis and repairs (lighting, wiring, 7-way).
• Performs minor trailer maintenance and body repairs.
• Conducts basic air system repairs (airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, splices).
• Performs battery testing and replacement.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of shop and work areas.
• Ensures tools, equipment and service vehicles are clean, functional and maintained.
• Stores parts, tires and supplies properly; completes work orders with labor, parts and customer information.
