Job summary

United Engines in North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Shop Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on trucks, buses, engines, engine components, and subassemblies in a shop setting. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and execute repairs to meet safety and quality standards.

This role requires a GED or high school diploma, 2–4 years of related experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to use diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience required.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.
• Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools required.
• Technical certification in automotive and/or diesel engine repair preferred.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems with customer’s equipment.
• Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Perform routine repairs on customer’s equipment and replace parts as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to guidelines and schedules.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
• Consult with supervisor to confirm diagnosis and approval for repairs.
• Assist senior technicians on larger jobs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
