Job summary

United Engines in North Little Rock, AR is seeking a Shop Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on customer equipment, including trucks, buses, engines, and components. The role requires a hands-on technician able to work in a shop environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience; technical certification in automotive or diesel repair is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years related repair experience.
  • Able to troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems on customer equipment.
  • Read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
  • Willing to wear PPE and work in shop/outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems with customer equipment.
  • Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine repairs on customer equipment and replace parts as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per guidelines and schedules.
  • Complete all work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
  • Consult with supervisor to ensure accuracy of diagnosis and repair approval.
  • Assist senior technicians on larger jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow established quality standards and safety procedures.
