Job summary

Swift Transportation in New Jersey is seeking a Diesel Shop Foreman to oversee our on-site shop at 943 Omar Ave, Avenel. The position offers a Monday–Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm schedule and a pay range of $30–$36 per hour with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities include overseeing preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on tractors, trailers and support equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards. A valid driver’s license and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment hair drug screening.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers and support equipment.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair components.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance including repairs and coding.
• Strong computer diagnostic skills preferred.
