Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in South Plainfield, New Jersey, is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00 am–2:30 pm shifts, and weekly pay with a competitive hourly rate of $32.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical certification, and 2+ years of related experience. A CDL Class A is preferred with validation within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Two years or more of related experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CDL Class A within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Conducts standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
