Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in the truck service field.
• CDL license or ability to obtain a CDL.
• Ability to work well under pressure and stay organized.
• Assist the Service Manager in training mechanics.
• Customer service skills to greet customers and coordinate service orders.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend repairs.
• Schedule and assign work to mechanics.
• Review work in process and ensure timely completion.
• Read, write, and comprehend English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and verify work performed by Service Technicians.
• Assign work based on skill level and estimated completion time.
• Perform quality control checks on service projects.
• Coordinate communication between Service Writer and Technician.
• Manage labor charges on repair orders and close orders.
• Maintain service shop capacity and order repairs.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and shop cleanliness.
• Communicate with customers about services, costs, and timelines.
