United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech I) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will report conditions to management and demonstrate equipment to customers while ensuring rental readiness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid license, and strong mechanical aptitude. This role emphasizes customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools including checking oil, grease, fluids and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
