Job summary
United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs of rental equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will provide exceptional customer service to our customers while keeping thorough work orders and equipment demonstrations up to date.
The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, 1–2 years of repair experience or trade school, and ownership of essential tools.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- 1-2 years' experience repairing or maintaining vehicles and equipment
- Own tools applicable to position
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service and teamwork
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
