Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will handle service tasks and document work while delivering excellent customer service daily.

You will demonstrate equipment to customers, assist with pickup/delivery, and collaborate with the team to meet safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in repairing/maintaining vehicles or equipment preferred.
• Must own tools applicable to position and be able to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain work orders and documentation daily to ensure accuracy.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain operating features.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Support safety and service quality in all tasks.
