Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech I) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment. You will provide exceptional customer service while evaluating equipment safety and readiness.

You'll inspect vehicles, report conditions, demonstrate equipment to customers, and help with pickups and deliveries. A strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools including checking oil, grease, fluids and tagging of equipment for rental ready status.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
