Job summary

The Pete Store LLC is hiring a diesel truck technician in Chesapeake, VA to repair and maintain diesel engine industrial trucks per dealer and factory specs. You will diagnose issues, order parts, test drive, and document repairs on repair orders.

Certifications in MH truck maintenance are preferred; two years of related experience are required. We offer competitive pay in a range of $55,000 to $100,000 annually, with health insurance, 401K with company match, paid holidays, and employer-paid

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Certifications in diesel/MH truck maintenance are preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals and service bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains diesel engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnoses cause of malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Supervises apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Maintains shop area and tools in good condition.

State Emission Certification

Paccar MX Certification
