Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is hiring a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic in Greensboro, NC. The role involves heavy-duty mechanical repair under supervision with on-the-job training to achieve Service Journeyman status.

You will work on engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, brakes, and general maintenance while attending training and maintaining a safe workspace. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• CDL preferred.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical repairs and assists in more complex tasks.
• Gains experience working on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and tune-ups.
• Attends training sessions and meetings to improve skills.
• Maintains a neat, safe work area and proper handling of tools.
