The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking a Diesel Service Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role performs supervised heavy‑duty truck repairs, diagnostics, and related servicing to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Trade school certificate/degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in a related field preferred but not required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Motor Vehicle Record adheres to company MVR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components; tests to ensure repairs are done properly.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicate with Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for repairs.
• Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv: all pictures, engine files (before and after repair), and diagnostic tests used to perform repair.
• Record in detail the troubleshooting steps and results of repairs and any other information about the repair.
• Save all warrantable parts; label, box and turn in to the correct location with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; clean and return tools used.
• Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by the Service Manager.
• Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
• Obtain class A or B CDL and retain during employment.
• Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.

• Follow safety rules and company policies always.
• Communicate to Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for repairs.

• Record in detail, the description of all trouble shooting steps and results of repairs made and any other information about the repair.
