Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled diesel/automotive technician to repair and service heavy equipment and components to OEM specifications. You will work closely with the Shop Foreman to ensure high-quality repairs and efficient, profitable service performance.

Occasional overtime, travel with overnight stays, and weekend work may be required. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs with minimal supervision, and maintaining accurate service records while upholding safety

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year Diesel Technology/Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must own or have the ability to acquire required tools.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Class A CDL license is desirable but not required.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and solid mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintenance jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Perform basic testing of machine systems and recondition components.
  • Develop and apply diagnostic reasoning to equipment faults.
  • Handle paperwork and service documentation.
  • Maintain clean, safe work environment and proper tool care.
  • Support service team through data collection for inventory control.

OVERVIEW:This individual, working closely with the Shop Foreman is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. This individual will also be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible.
