Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Service Technician to repair machinery and components to OEM specifications, under the guidance of the Shop Foreman. The role may include overtime, travel with overnight stays, and occasional weekend work.

The technician will perform repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision, conduct basic testing, and complete all required paperwork while maintaining a clean, safe shop environment and supporting inventory control.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum 2-year Diesel Technology/Automotive Technology degree or equivalent experience.
  • Solid diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot machine systems.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Builds knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures.
  • Can perform repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Basic testing knowledge of all machine systems.
  • Repair and recondition equipment components and systems.
  • Develops diagnostic reasoning and problem solving.
  • Operates heavy construction equipment safely.
  • Completes paperwork for jobs and maintains inventory records.
  • Maintains clean, safe work environment and shop tools/equipment.

OVERVIEW:This individual, working closely with the Shop Foreman is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. This individual will also be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible.
