Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled diesel technician to work closely with the Shop Foreman to repair machinery and components to OEM standards. You may perform overtime, travel with overnight stays, and work weekends occasionally.

The role supports service, parts, and administrative teams while ensuring quality and profitability. The ideal candidate has a 2-year diesel/automotive degree or equivalent experience, owns tools, and holds or can obtain a Class A CDL.

Qualifications

  • Two-year diesel/automotive degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; Class A CDL preferred.
  • Own or have ability to acquire required tools.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and equipment knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and service machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Test and diagnose machine systems.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness; manage tools and inventory data.
  • Maintain positive relationships with service, parts, and admin staff.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.

OVERVIEW:This individual, working closely with the Shop Foreman is responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. This individual will also be responsible for servicing units to fulfill OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible.
