Job summary

Qualifications

• AA degree in a technical field or comparable work experience
• 3–5 years heavy-duty truck service or related experience with supervisory experience preferred
• Management skills including strategic planning, decision making, and program implementation
• Strong product knowledge for customers and staff
• Supervisory skills to coach, train, and motivate staff to meet goals
• Highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to handle pressure while serving a wide range of customers
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle upset customers professionally
• Good math skills, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Windows
• CDL required for diesel service department

Responsibilities

• Establishes strategic and operational goals for the Branch service department
• Sets service department profit targets and ensures goals are met
• Maintains communication between Service and other Branch departments
• Communicates with vendors on product and warranty issues
• Oversees upkeep of facility and grounds within budget guidelines
