Amwaste of Georgia LLC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Shop Manager to lead our repair operation. You will manage scheduling, staffing, and inventory while directing a team of diesel mechanics to deliver timely, high‑quality repairs.

The role calls for a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a track record in diesel systems, safety, and process optimization; valid license required. This position is full‑time and onsite in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; diesel tech certification preferred.
• At least 5 years in diesel mechanics, with 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate a team.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and diesel engine systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the diesel repair shop, including scheduling, staffing, and inventory management.
• Ensure repairs are completed timely and efficiently, meeting customer expectations.
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of diesel mechanics; provide guidance and support.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement processes to improve shop efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and customer interactions.
• Communicate with customers, provide updates on repair status, and address concerns.
