Amwaste of Georgia LLC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain engines and equipment on waste collection trucks and to provide courteous service to drivers who operate these trucks daily. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and welding as needed, contributing to safe, efficient operations and community service.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing scheduled maintenance, repairing or replacing parts, and upholding shop safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation and maintenance principles.
• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment diagnostics and repair principles.
• Skills in the use of tools and equipment used in the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in welding
• Skill in troubleshooting and identifying problems and in devising related solutions.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot vehicle and equipment operation problems and perform repairs.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and equipment.
• Attend safety meetings and classes.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and tidy shop.
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
