Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in Baltimore, MD. You will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on pumps, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, professional service at customer sites.

Responsibilities include equipment demonstrations, supporting junior technicians, and travel to customer locations. A strong mechanical background and relevant pump experience are required, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge, especially with various engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform service on pumps and minor repairs in a safe, professional manner.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair pumps; document service.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer sites; support field technicians.
• Train lower level Technicians; assist in service quality.
