Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring a Service Tech I in Baltimore to perform maintenance checks and minor repairs on rental equipment. You’ll use diesel/auto/mechanical skills, report conditions, assist with pickup/delivery, and help maintain inventory while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, knowledge of diesel engines and equipment systems, and strong mechanical

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines, AC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs incl. oil, fluids, electrical, AC systems, and plumbing; tag equipment ready for rental.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Other duties as needed.
