Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a diesel equipment technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, and service equipment, ensuring compliance with FMCSA safety rules and manufacturer specs.

The role requires reading work orders, interpreting manuals, and replacing worn parts. Flexibility for shifts, plus physical ability to lift and work in varying conditions, is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year experience or completion of trade school.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Diesel engine system knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and document FMCSA compliance.
• Interpret work orders and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned as needed.
