Job summary

Swift Transportation is seeking a Diesel Parts Coordinator in Columbus, OH to help ensure our maintenance operation runs efficiently by managing inventory, sourcing parts, supporting technicians, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

You will be responsible for keeping parts available, researching and purchasing from approved suppliers, and tracking trends to minimize obsolescence. This role offers weekend incentive pay and a stable, growth-oriented career path.

Qualifications

• Two years of parts experience, preferably in a heavy-duty truck or transportation environment.
• Experience identifying, sourcing, and ordering truck or equipment parts.
• Working knowledge of OEM parts systems and online ordering platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret parts manuals and repair documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels to ensure technicians have the parts they need to keep equipment moving
• Research, source, and purchase parts from approved suppliers and manufacturers
• Track inventory trends, identify high-demand items, and minimize obsolete stock
• Process warranty and return parts while coordinating with vendors and manufacturers
• Resolve shortages, pricing discrepancies, and supply issues
• Partner with shop leadership, technicians, and vendors to support maintenance operations
• Assist with purchasing, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency initiatives
