Job summary

Summit Drilling, LLC in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and complex repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you’ll train junior mechanics, follow safety protocols, and respond to emergency calls. A CDL Class A, 2+ years in diesel shop, own tools, and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a diesel shop environment (heavy equipment, trucks, off-road).
• Own tools required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• CDL Class A or willingness to obtain.
• Familiar with DOT inspection protocols.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Inspect hydraulic, electrical, braking and cooling systems for issues.
• Repair or replace components in brakes, steering, transmissions and engines.
• Overhaul engines as needed and supervise junior mechanics.
• Maintain documentation and respond to emergency service calls.
