Job summary

Summit Drilling, LLC in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and complex repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, reporting to the Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, using diagnostic software, coordinating with junior mechanics, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years diesel shop experience (heavy equipment, trucks, off-road)
• Own your own mechanic tools
• CDL Class A or willingness to obtain
• Experience with DOT inspections and diagnostic tools

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles using diagnostic software and test equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, clutch, transmission, and engine systems
• Overhaul engines and major components as needed
• Document work performed accurately and clearly
• Respond to emergency service calls and mentor junior mechanics
