• Diesel Tech Trainee Positions Pay Each Week
• Hourly Pay: $22.14 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: First shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Zero to one year of mechanical experience preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Customer service skills
• Strong technical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot quickly
• Work independently and in a team
• Professional representation of Ryder
• Time management skills
• Good attendance record
• Accountability and results-oriented
• Basic computer skills
• Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• DOT safety regulated; regulated tech
• Safety-sensitive position; age and work hours per law

Regulated Tech

• Must obtain CDL within 6 months
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check

Responsibilities

• Move heavy vehicles, wash, fuel, and record activity
• Perform multi-point inspections
• Maintain fuel island and perform minor maintenance
• Complete technician training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
