Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Zero to one year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines is preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficient in written and verbal English communication
• Customer service skills
• Strong technical aptitude; ability to learn equipment and machinery maintenance (preferred)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly (preferred)
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Represent Ryder professionally to employees and customers
• Good time management and ability to prioritize
• Good attendance and performance record
• Personal accountability and results-oriented
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop management systems (preferred)
• Valid CDL Class A license (preferred)

Regulated Tech Requirements:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
• Background check, including drug and alcohol verification for last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Move heavy-duty vehicles, wash, fuel, and maintain vehicles, adhering to safety policies
• Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
• Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
• Complete all training modules and assessments
• Perform other duties as assigned
