Position Details

• Weekly pay for Diesel Tech Trainee positions
• Hourly rate: $19.50
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: First shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Up to 1 year mechanical experience, preferably with diesel engines
• Must be 18 or older
• Good communication skills in English
• Customer service skills
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and in a team, and represent Ryder professionally
• Strong time management and attendance record
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems (beginner level preferred)
• Valid CDL Class A preferred

Regulated Tech Requirements

• Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Responsibilities

• Move, wash, fuel, and perform inspections on heavy-duty vehicles
• Maintain fuel and DEF inventories
• Perform multi-point inspections and minor maintenance
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety standards
• Complete Technician Training Program
