Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring experienced diesel mechanic technicians in Kentucky. The role offers permanent full time employment with hourly pay and weekly payroll. A quarterly bonus program and certification bonus provide additional earnings opportunities, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and applicable vocational training. Candidates with 1+ year of heavy/medium duty repair and diagnostic experience are preferred. CDL A is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred vocational/technical training.
• One year or more mechanical repair experience on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Experience with advanced diagnostics and repair of vehicle components preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Repair components and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identify root causes and replace defective parts as instructed.
• Assist with facility maintenance and cleanliness of work areas.
• Interact with drivers to clarify the nature of reported issues.
• Document work in the Shop Management System and comply with safety rules.
• Support operations and perform related duties as required.
