Earners start at about $30.48 per hour with potential certifications bonuses up to $700 and quarterly bonuses up to $500. Must have a high school diploma and CDL-A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience or training in mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines.
• Routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work.
• Two years of training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root cause and conducts repairs.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as needed.
