Position Details:

• 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 9:00pm - 5:00am
• Pay starts at $32.00 per hour, or more depending on experience

Position Purpose:

We prioritize safety! The Diesel Technician - Class B ensures safety by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling all company fleet diesel equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and component inspections on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, dollies).
• Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Document work orders accurately in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical parts, replacing parts as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication using hand and power tools.
• Train and guide other mechanics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 3-5 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience.
