Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines.
• Experience with air & disc brakes, tire & wheel maintenance.

Position Details:

1. Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am, Monday - Saturday
2. Pay: $32.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential

Position Purpose: Ensuring safety by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling fleet diesel equipment to meet safety and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles
• Perform overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet diesel equipment
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and ensure equipment is roadworthy
• Document work orders and repairs accurately using the online system
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication
• Train or guide other mechanics
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire & wheel, air & disc brakes, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines and transmissions
