Position Details:
- Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am, Monday - Saturday
- Pay: $32.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential

Position Purpose: Ensuring safety by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling fleet diesel equipment to meet safety and compliance standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, convertor dollies, and maintenance vehicles
- Perform overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet diesel equipment
- Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and ensure equipment is roadworthy
- Document work orders and repairs accurately using the online system
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication
- Train or guide other mechanics
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire & wheel, air & disc brakes, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines and transmissions
