Job summary

Decker Truck Line in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a private fleet of late-model trucks and trailers. The role offers a choice of 4- or 5-day weeks, with early hours on first shift.

Requirements include 6+ months auto/diesel experience, own tools (lease-to-own option), a valid driver license, and basic computer skills. PACCAR experience is a plus, with comprehensive safety policies and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Computer-based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces.
• PACCAR experience preferred.

Diesel Mechanic Technician Must Haves

• Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
• Paccar experience preferred
• 6+ Months of Auto or Diesel Mechanic experience
• Must have own tools; tool lease-to-ownprogram available if needed

• Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.

Diesel Mechanic Technician Nice to Haves

• Steel and Aluminum Welding experience is a plus
• Reefer experience is a plus
• CDL a plus but not required

Great schedule of Monday-Friday 1st shift 7am-3:30pm or Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm, your choice!On-call as needed.$2000 Bonus for new experienced tractor/trailer Diesel Mechanic with at least 1 year of experience:$500 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days. $500 Bonus for entry-level Mechanic:$250after 30 days, $250 after 90 days.
