Job summary

Swift Transportation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Troutdale, OR. The role involves inspecting and repairing company-owned trucks and trailers, performing preventive maintenance per OEM/DOT specifications, and diagnosing issues to keep the fleet running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on all company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, and support equipment.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform repairs on equipment; troubleshoot complex issues as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance, including repairs and identification.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
