• Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: Second shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines, including:
• Preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake, tire work)
• Diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical systems)
• Major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, or fuel injection repairs
• Four or more years of relevant experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Other certifications as required by location

Additional requirements:

• Ability to perform all T3 tasks
• Advanced analytical and repair skills
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call duties
• Preferred ASE certifications in PM, brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics, or ASE master mechanic
• Proficiency with shop computers and diagnostic equipment
• Minimum tool requirements
• Ability to road test vehicles
• Ability to coach and mentor others

• Note: Must be able to operate Ryder vehicles, obtain CDL within 6 months, pass drug tests, physical, road test, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete OEM diagnostic courses and OEM instructor-led training
• Perform vehicle maintenance, including preventive and complex repairs
• Utilize maintenance documents and diagnostic tools
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
• Assist roadside breakdowns remotely
• Perform facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers to identify issues
• Mentor other technicians and advise management
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Comply with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Support additional shop duties as needed
