• Average Weekly Pay: $1180
• Hourly Pay: $29.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: Second Shift 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance
• Two or more years of related training and experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Note: You must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire, pass Ryder's drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Assist with facility maintenance
• Communicate with customers/drivers to understand issues
• Use shop management systems and documentation
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines
• Support other operational duties as needed
