Join Our Team as a Diesel Mechanic Technician at Ryder Supply Chain Solutions

We are immediately hiring a permanent, full-time, experienced mid-level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet in Rochester, New York. Apply now to become part of our team!

Position Details

• Hourly Pay: $29.50
• Certification Bonus: $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500, paid four times a year
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift (Tuesday - Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm)

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct standard inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, utilizing diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes of failures and perform necessary repairs
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• At least 2 years of relevant experience or training in automotive repair
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire
