Position Summary

As a Diesel Technician at Hunter Truck, you'll perform maintenance and repairs on all truck systems, from minor repairs to advanced diagnostics, either independently or as part of a team. Your skills will help keep our fleet of trucks operating at their best.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  
  

Position Preferences

• Vocational technical school training or equivalent experience.
• Automotive or medium/heavy-duty truck experience.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, ensuring work meets dealership and factory standards.
• Assist with major repairs and collaborate with fellow technicians to solve complex issues.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary components.
• Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Complete detailed documentation for repairs, warranty claims, and all work performed.
• Road test vehicles to assess performance and verify repairs.
• Keep updated on technical bulletins and stay current on manufacturer specifications.
• Work as part of a team to meet customer needs and deliver exceptional service.
