Who We Are: DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan, has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport and Port Huron and also Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities.

The Diesel Mechanic will work on a variety of heavy trucks and trailers, including troubleshooting and repair of electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The role involves working independently and in teams, with opportunities for training through our in-house technician paid program.

In This Diesel Tech Role, You Will:

1. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, including testing and adjustments.
2. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
3. Identify mechanical problems visually and with diagnostic equipment.
4. Perform diagnostics on components and systems to ensure proper operation.

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1+ years of verifiable diesel technician experience
• Ability to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials
• Strong communication skills and team orientation

Preferred: Mechanic certifications

Physical Requirements:

• Lift at least 35 pounds
• Bend, stretch, kneel, squat for repairs and inspections
• Good vision for inspection work
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening
