Job summary
GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty diesel refuse trucks and related equipment. Two shift options are available with overtime after 40 hours.
Starting pay is $25-$30 per hour, with additional pay based on experience and certifications. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401K after 6 months.
Qualifications
- Daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
