Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Second Shift Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to keep customer fleets on the road. This role is Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with a 15% shift premium for evenings and weekends.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel trucks, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety and vehicle standards. Entry to experienced level with diesel-focused training and 2+ years of maintenance experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For entry level, some experience in automotive repair or heavy-duty truck maintenance is required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Dependable and reliable attendance required.
• For experienced level, diesel-focused schooling and 2+ years of maintenance/repair experience required.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by inspections and diagnostics to assess maintenance needs.
• Test engines, safety, and regulation compliance per federal/state requirements.
• Repair or replace major assemblies and components with problem-solving skills.
• Evaluate service options to contain costs and find effective solutions.
• Maintain vehicle records of services and repairs for transparency.
• Adhere to safety regulations and stay updated on regulations through training.
• Collaborate with team and leadership to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
