Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) in Sand Springs, OK. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing of rental equipment with a focus on safety and quality customer service.

You’ll document work, demonstrate equipment to customers, and assist with deliveries while pursuing growth into higher-level tech roles within our Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience repairing/maintaining vehicles or equipment or trade school graduate.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Basic understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
