Job summary

Chaves County seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and service county road equipment and vehicles. You will diagnose problems, choose repair methods, and perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.

Responsibilities include using repair manuals, performing welds, and documenting work. A New Mexico CDL with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain within six months is required. Post-offer drug tests and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus four years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Must read and follow repair manuals and diagrams.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair heavy gasoline/diesel engines.

Responsibilities
