Zusammenfassung

Metalico is seeking a Maintenance Diesel Mechanic to service on-road and yard equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. This role requires troubleshooting, inspections and basic repairs across trucks and heavy machinery.

Applicants should have a technical school certification or 1–2 years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license and solid mechanical aptitude. Compliance with safety and DOT guidelines is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Certification from an accredited technical school, or 1–2 years related experience.
• Diesel mechanics knowledge and maintenance principles.
• Valid driver's license; basic hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills; safety compliance.
• Ability to work autonomously or in a team; good communication.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engines.
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings and other critical parts.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT guidelines.
• Learn and perform facility maintenance duties as required.
• Maintain records and inspections.
