Job summary

Mpwservices is seeking a dependable Diesel Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment in a fast-paced shop setting. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines, transmissions, and driveline systems, while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school training required.
• 3+ years diesel mechanic or heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in fleet, equipment, industrial, or maintenance shop environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Complete post-trip inspections to identify repair needs and ensure safety.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, driveline, brake, suspension, and hydraulic issues.
• Replace tires, clutches, brakes and worn components.
• Perform complete diesel engine overhauls and driveline repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot major electrical system repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair reports.
• Support field maintenance operations and travel to job sites when required.
