Job summary

Pro Crane Rentals Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to service tractor-trailers and heavy equipment. You will maintain and repair diesel engines, diagnose issues, and ensure vehicles are safe and operational.

This role requires in-shop and on-site work, tool readiness, and the ability to read error codes and perform hydraulic and electrical diagnostics. CDL A preferred and willingness to travel for on-site repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics is essential.
• Familiarity with servicing tractor-trailers and heavy equipment is preferred.
• Proficient with power tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance on all cars, trucks and construction equipment.
• Track repairs with part numbers and vendors used for specific equipment.
• Must have in-shop tools to perform daily repairs.
• Must be available to go to sites to perform tasks.
• Inspect equipment before use or return to service.
• Diagnose engines, hydraulic systems and electrical issues; read and clear codes.
• Repair on road for down equipment as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL A preferred.

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics, with experience in servicing tractor-trailers and heavy equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, ensuring that all vehicles are safe and operational.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance on all cars, trucks and construction equipment
• Track all repairs and keep details with part #'s and vendors used for specific equipment.
• Must have in shop at all times: (all mechanics tools to perform daily repairs)
• Must be available to go to site to perform various tasks
• Knowledge and ability to operate various construction equipment
• Inspect equipment before use or put back into service
• Knowledgeable in Hydraulic repairs
• Knowledgeable and can diagnose malfunctions in engines, hydraulic system, electrical, read error codes and repair as needed
• Able to work weekend, off peak hours as needed, (on occasion)
• Has knowledge with Diagnostic computer, read codes, clear code
• Pricing out parts and supplies and ordering them.
• Must go out on road and do repairs to down equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license, CDL A preferred
